Founded in 1963 by members of the Sacramento Chinese community as the Ye Wah Drums and Lyras Corps, the Mandarins have become ambassadors of youth arts education. The only World Class corps based in Sacramento, they won eight divisional DCI championships before making their first World Class Finals appearance — a remarkable rise from mid-field to top-10 status.
